Entrepreneurs Bootcamp Bentley filming

Great fun today – very ‘Hollywood’.

Spent the day in a cavernous car-filming studio – the place where they film many of the top car ads – filming some sequences in readiness for the official launch of the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp prize giveaway.

At this year’s Entrepreneurs Bootcamp – ticket holders who are in the room when the draw takes place, will have the chance to win my Bentley Continental GT – not just for a quick drive around at the block – but for keeps! The lucky winner, who will be drawn from the audience on one of the two Bootcamp days, will get full ownership of the car. (I guess I should state here and now that terms and conditions apply).

I’ll hand them the keys and the log book (or whatever the DVLA call the documentation these days).

I am so passionate about helping children – particularly those who have written in to Make A Wish, the UK children’s charity that I am proud to be an ambassador for – that this year I have decided to not only hold an Entrepreneurs Bootcamp event to raise money for them – but also to offer something else – something extra special – something ‘dear to my heart’ – my prized Bentley Continental GT.

I have to admit – I never knew there was so much work that went into producing video and films of cars. It took longer than when I filmed my TV show for the Entrepreneur Channel – and the car was definitely the star of the show.

I counted 9 crew members – just to film the short piece. Lighting technicians, sound guy, make up (and professional valet for the car of course), camera guys, grips (what ever that is??)…a whole team of professionals who came in to help in raising this money for Make-A-Wish.

They spent hours filming the smallest detail in the car, capturing the hand stitching on the leather work, the perfection of the wood veneer… and the audio guy even mic’d up the twin exhaust manifolds to get the gentle roar of the car being started and driven away.

Everything was filmed in High Definition – so you’ll be able to see it live on screen at the O2 at the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp.
