Andrew Reynolds Bootcamp wins Industry ‘Oscar’ for Best UK and International Conference

Andrew Reynolds beat tough competition from some very impressive names, and budgets, from major industry players including Thomson,  Reuters  Telecoms Giant Ericsson, and Computer Icon IBM, to win the prestigious Silver Award for Best UK and International Conference at the recent Eventia which are considered to be the Conference and Events Management Oscars’ .

Andrew’s Entrepreneurs Bootcamp which had previously been held in venues as far apart as Wembley, Brighton and Bournemouth, was scaled up to fill the much larger O2 Arena, which has a lower bowl seating capacity of around 8,000 people.  From pervious events at 3,500 and 4,000 people , Andrew and his team certainly took on a hugely ambitious undertaking.

Andrew said “ We had this crazy idea and a dream of what we could do with the much larger space. We worked with a brilliant production company, Smyle, who took that dream and made it happen. , They took our ideas for a huge projection screen and ,met the technical challenges of building the largest ever indoor screen  used not only at the O2, but in the whole of the UK . Measuring a massive 35m x 12 m the projection canvas was the centre of attention on the massive conference stage.

Entrepreneurs Bootcamp was also the largest two day conference ever held at the O2 Arena, which has become a home for so many Concert events but had never been used for such a large conference before.  To ensure the success of the event Andrew offered his prized Bentley as a prize to all ticket holders. Andrew Reynolds also presented a cheque to the Make A Wish Foundation children’s charity for over £700,000, for all of the 8000 ticket sales.

Receiving the Award, Bootcamp organiser and promoter Andrew said “We are completely bowled over to have won such recognition with one of first major-league events….doubly so as this is an award not just for the UK but for international events too.
